In-built intelligence in each of our printers and MFPs ensures that printing is as easy as it should be for users. The Printer Management System is that in-built intelligence. There are four main features - Auto Registration, Auto Color Balance, Auto Media Detect*, Photo Enhance.

The way it works

Auto Registration

Registration alignment is carried out automatically every time the printer is powered on or the top cover opened. The printer prints a series of lines on to the internal transfer belt. The belt is then rotated and the alignment is checked with two electronic sensors. If out of alignment is detected the printer makes the necessary adjustments.

Auto Color Balance

Throughout the life of the printer colour levels are measured automatically on power on or when the top cover is opened. A range of coloured squares are printed on to the internal belt for each colour. The printer then measures each colour square with a sensor, making the necessary adjustments.

Auto Media Detect*

A sensor measures the thickness of the media, the printer then automatically makes the necessary adjustments, including fuser temperature and print speed, before the paper is fed for printing. This provides optimum print quality on a variety of media types.

Photo Enhance

Photo Enhance adjusts the tonal quality of images, making them appear brighter, more vibrant. This allows users to achieve clear, sharp, photo-like quality pictures even on ordinary office paper. This unique OKI Printing Solutions' feature is selectable within the printer driver and will enable any business to enjoy truly professional in-house printing.
